Shown is the interior of the large Riverdale Mill which had been primarily built by Homer Gilmore before his 1902 departure. In this 1907 photo Charles Brown is on the left with John Leonard Hawkins on the right. Hawkins was the acting postmaster at Riverdale from 1906 until the post office closed in January, 1907. Hawkins was the son of miller Alonzo Hawkins and a brother of miller Fred Hawkins. He would soon go to Linden, Mo.
