Title
JOHN CLOUD
Description
John Cloud (shown) was a son of Calvin Cloud who was killed by Alf Bolin in 1862. John's years were 1843-1925. Like his father, John served on the Union side in the Civil War. A farmer for most of his life he moved to this house at Hurley. In his yard is this burr-stone that came from the Reynolds Mill, which preceded the founding of Hurley. The mill was on Spring Creek above current Hurley. Reynolds Mill was burned down by bushwhackers in the Civil War era.
